Geometry was the first horse to break the line, but almost immediatly Highborn rushed to the front, and the latter, with Dart and Knebsworth, held a prominent! position to the straight, where the favorite, who had been fencing faultlessly, moved up. Daimio had little difficulty in cutting down the leaders, and stalling off a fast run by Romsdale, won easily by two lengths ; Geometry a length and a half behind the second horse. Highborn, Campaspe, and Songster were the only others to finish, the remainder falling, but fortunately none of the jockeys wero injured. Baltoro pulled up lame.
