Acclimatisation Society.

The Council of the above Society met yesterday, there being present:—Messrs Mackintosh (in the chair), G. Dennison, Sinclair, Bruce, Dwyer, Milligan, Glen, C. It was resolved that the next meeting be held at 7.30 p.m. Mr Dennison gave notice to move that the license fee for fishing be reduced to 10s, that a month's license. be ss, and a week's license 2s 6d. Mr Mackintosh intimated that he and Mr Aitken had liberated the grayling and the bulk of the Rainbow trout in the Kakanui, below Balruddery. Five of the grayling had died in the race, and it was thought best to liberate them at once.
