By arrangement with the auctioneers merinos will be first disposed of before longwools are touched. There was a large attendance of buyers. Bidding was active, showing greater liveliness than last year. On the whole the condition of stock offered, noticeably in New Zealand consignments, was much better than in 1891. Prices were good though not of a sensational order, the highest being loOg tor a Paradox 11. ram belonging to Gtb.-r»ns tl'ck. Tasmania. A small parcel of Vermont's from New Zealand were catalogued, but were not in evidence when reached on the !i-*t.
