Application has been granted in Chambers for calling a meeting of the creditors of the Colonial Bank of Australasia to consider a modification of the scheme adopted two years ago, involving a Reduction in the rate of interest on deferred fixed deposits to 2h per cent.; also, for an extension of the time of repayment. The application stated that owing to the general fall in values of property and produce it was impossible to maintain a 3 per cent, rate of interest.
