ATHLETIC CLUB. The annual meeting of the Oamaru Athletic Football Club was held in tho Globe Hotel last night, there being a good attendance. Mr W. Burns presided. The minutes of tho annual mooting having been duly confirmed, the report and balance sheet were read and adopted. The 'report showed the season to have been a very satisfactory one, the first fifteen having won 4 matches out of 5, and the second 6 out of 6. Regret was expressed at several prominent playing members having left tho district. The balance sheet showed tho Club to bo in a sound financial position. The election of officers resulted as follows : President, Mr James Shartd ; vice-presidents, Messrs C. C. Probert, A. Avery, and R. Duncan; secretary, Mr A. Harrison ; treasurer, Mr W. D. Burns; captain, Mr M. Connelly; deputy-captain, Mr W. Veitch ; general committee, Messrs G. Hastie, J. Bee, C. Bee, D. Bee, D. Smith, D. Burns, and T. Adams; match committee, Captain, Deputy-Captain and Mr D. Bee j delegates to Otago Rugby Union, Messrs M. Connelly and A. Harrison. It was resolved to instruct the Club's delegates to vote for affiliation to tho Now Zealand Union. Messrs Connelly, Shand, and Proberb were accorded hearty votes of thanks for donations to the Club's funds. The following new members were elected T. Smith, J. Hay, A. Manning, C. Rusbatch, F. Nelson, W. Barraclough, W. Foss, J. Mitchell (junr.), A. Parker, D. Jardine, and W. Condon. The date of the opening match was fixed at March 28th. « The customary votes of thanks olosed the meeting. OAMARU CLUB. The annual meeting of the Oamaru Club was held in the Kahanga Rooms at 8 o'clock, tliere being a good attendance. Mr P. Mitchell presided. The annual report and balance-sheet, both of a satisfactory nature, were read and adopted. The election of officers for tho ensuing year resulted as follows :—President, Mr H. Newton ; vice-presidents, Dr do Lautour, Messrs A. Potter, and R. Hewat ; captain, Mr D. D. Weir ; deputy-captain, Mr 0. Ferens ; lion, secretary, Mr H. D. Hall ; lion, treasurer, Mr J. M'Pherson ; committee, Messrs Sumpter, M'Gliie, Hedley, H. King, and Murray. Messrs P. Mitchell and W. Cork were appointed delegates to the Otago Rugby Union. Mr Hewat was accorded a vote of thanks for his services as treasurer. It was resolved that tho names of members whose subscriptions aro unpaid be posted at tho end of a month, in, the pavilion of the North Road ground. The following now members were elected : Messrs A. M'Galium, Craddock, W. H. Webber, W. Byrne, aud H. M'Dowell. A vote of thanks to the chair closed tho meeting.
