Rangipuhi 1 Mahaki 2 Lady Zetland 3 The only starters. Won all the way by a length. Time, 2min Usee. Dividend, L 3 ss. HURDLES. Auroa 1 Clarence ... ... ... ... 2 Revolt 3 Also started, Kapua. Revolt and Kapua led alternately for a mile, when the other pair closed up. At the six furlong post there was very little between the field. Auroa came with a rush at the finish and won by half a length. Time, 3min 22sec. Dividend, L 8 4s. JUVENILE HANDICAP. St. John 1 Heavenly Twin 2 Warnote .... ... ... ... 3 A good start, but Black and Red stumbled and fell, giving Campbell a nasty shaking, Spruce led for two furlongs, but at the turn was collared by both St. John and Heavenly Twin and the pair racing on the former gained the judge's verdict by a head.
