THE GREAT EYENT OF THE YEAR, as far as the farming community of North Otaigo is concerned, has come and gone ; our last Great Agricultural Show is now a thing of the past. It is said by everyone who has visited it that it is the best that has been held here for years. It speaks volumes of praise for the energy, perseverance, and indomitable pluck of our sturdy yeoman of our fair land. What we have said about our Oreat Agricultural Carnival may, with equal force, be applied to the Great Display of Summer Novelties for the Holiday Season now to be seen at the well-known and favorite establishment Zealandia House.

We have spared no pains to make the present season one to be remembered by all those who may honor us with a visit. What lovely Dress Fabrics in nice Shot Nainsooks, Cambrics, Delaines, Muslins, Crepons, and Summer Tweeds. We are making np Dresses in a first-class manner for 10s 6d. In Sunshades we hold a Splendid Assortment in various shades and at very moderate prices. The Show of Ribbons, Laces, Frillings, and Flowers, at present on view is in itself a lesson. The Millinery Department has been a great success this season. We have received most flattering testimonials from ladies all over the district, but the great modesty of our junior partner prevents our publishing them. Millinery Hats and Bonnets made up in any style at one hour's notice. Then there are our Mantles, Jackets, Capes in Silk Lace, and other materials with which we have done remarkably well this season. We have every size in stock, and can fit the most exacting and fastidious. In short, our Showroom at the present time has attained the summit of perfection. Our Manchester and Furnishing Departments are so well known that we need haidly refer to them, save in passing, but we can assure all those in need of any article in this department that we are giving sterling value, and cannot be beaten.
