The Athletic Club will play a practice match to-morrow, when the following team will battle against all-comers: — Backs : Ah Tong, Maxwell, Harrison, D. Bee, Power, Herron; forwards: Connelly (captain), D. Smith, L. Moss, W. Veitch, D. Burns, Mullins, M'Ghie, Adams, C. Bee. The following teams of the Oamaru Club will play a match on the North Road ground :—Captain's team : Orbell, Weir (captain), Familton, Crawford, Holmes (2), Crawshaw, J. Keddell, King, de Lautour, Hedley (2), Jones, Dick, M'Farlane,Burn, M'Taggart, G. Sumpter, Deputy-Captain's team—Familton, Johnstone, M'Ghie, C. Keddell, Ferens (captain), M'Donald, Badeley, Brodie Thomson. Borrie, Grumitt, Harper, Hay, Gibb, Rutherford, Drennan, Christie, Murray. The Phoenix Club will open their season to-morrow, when a match between sides chosen by the President and Vice' President will be played. The Juniors will play a match on the Old Cricket Ground to-morrow before the Athletics' practice. The Endeavor (Association) Clubs will play a match in Lewis' paddock, sides being chosen by Messrs Dewdney and Allan.
