Trades and Labor Conference.

(BY TELEORAPH.) Accklasd, March 28. The Trades and Labor Conference resumed thi3 morning. The Shearers Accommodation Bill was considered. Clauses one to five were agreed to. In reference to one clause a resolution was passed that the attention of the Minister of Labor be drawn to the necessity of conditions being drawn up for the guidance of the inspector in reference to sleeping accommodation and that a number of cubic feet be provided for each shearer. The Bill, as amended, was agreed to. A telesrram was received from Mr Ward to the effect that six more Chinese had arrived at the port of Wellington this month, making altogether 18 arrivals in the colony for the mouth. The Bill providing for the creation of a Labor Department was passed with the exception of an amendment to clause 12 relative to the recovery of penalties. The words "two Justices of the Peace" are struck out. This afternoon the Conference received two delegates, representing the Northern Wairoa and Whangarei branches, relative to the depressed state of the kauri mm market. Certain resolutions to bo submitted to the Government are under consideration.
