TO THE EDITOR.
Sir, —Can you inform me whether a holder of an up-country publicin's license is supposed to keep a "reasonable supply of liquor for the accommodation of travellers or residents in the district, as, at the present time, influenza is very bad here, and we are virtually prohibited from obtaining spirits for use medicinally owing to the holder of the license having none to sell; also, whose business it is to sec that the terms of the Licensing Act are properly carried out, as I think that the Licensing Committee should either refuse a license altogether or compel the holder of Buch to conduct his or her house In a proper manner, and keep a stock of good spirits and beer on hand. lam, etc., .Employee.
