Ft, waH further desired to collect , if possible, another 1,100 as prize money for llie Wellington Match. .Seeing that this was the inauguration of the new range, the Mayor undertook to ask the City Council to allow Mm use of the Council Chambers in which to hold a public meeting for the purpose of considering what steps should lie taken to inaugurate the llrst, meeting, and also said that: he would send personal invitations to inlluontial citizens t.o attend the meeting.
