Green Island (Watter) 32, beat Oamaru (Kennedy) 12 Milton (Moore) 21, beat Phoanix (Dalgleish) 17 Roslyn (Carlton) 27, beat Caledoniau (Capstick) 12 Caledonian (Walker) 22, beat Roslyn (Matheson) 17 Caledonian (Ogg) 27, beat Phcenix (Waddell) 15 Christchurch (Thomson) 18, beat Kaituna (Mitchell) 16) Oamaru (Martin) 18, beat Dunedin (M'Diarmid) 11 Dunedin (Hunter) 18, beat Phoenix (Meek) 11 Sixty-four players have entered for the single-handed tournament. Dunedin, February 11. The weather is lovely and the Dunedin green in beautiful trim. The fourth ties in the rink tournament resulted as follows: Oamaru (Martin) 20, beat Caledonian (Walker) 10 Roslyn (Carlton) 20, beat Dunedin (Hunter) 17 Green Island (Watters) 21, beat Milton (Taylor) 20 Caledonian (Ogg) 22, beat Christchurch (H. Thompson) 16 The fifth ties will be played off at 2 o'clock and the final at 5 o'clock.

Why, in my notice of Colonel Jones' marriage I plainly wrote —" The ready and waiting bride advanced to the altar, hung with lilies and rose leaves" : and, confound you ! here's the way it reads in the paper —" The wretched and weary bride danced to the halter, hung with liars and horse thieves." Go off in the woods and hang yourself. I don't want to waste buckshot on you.
