A curious lawsuit, involving a point of very general interest, has just begun at Minneapolis. Mr Conklin, the manager of the Grand Opera House, was sued by a commercial traveller for damages, due to the fact that the traveller's view of the stage was obstructed by two large hats worn by ladies sitting in the front of him. The usher declined to change his seat, and the manager refused to refund the money. The case is still pending. Mr Gisbert Waescher, of Alexandria, Minnesota (says a Dalziel telegram from New York), intends to ride round the world on horseback within 500 days, if the feat be possible. He starts from Chicago on the Ist February and goes to New York, thence to Havre, Paris, Berlin, Moscow, Russian Siberia, Western China, Pekin, San Francisco, and thence over the old Pacific route to Chicago, at which city he expects to arrive in July of 1893. He takes his own horse, and proposes to exhibit it at the fair. He is a man 6ft s}in high, weighs 185 pounds, and is a native of Westphalia, Germany,
