General Booth's New Zealand Tour.
A cablegram received yesterday ar the headquarters of the Salvation Army in Christchurch states that- General Booth will conclude his Sydney meetings on October 15. and is expected to sail from there for Wellington the following day if steamer arrangements allow. Under these circumstances he will arrive at Wellington on Tuesday. October 20. He intends remaining there till Thursday, October 22. He thence goes overland to Auckland, via New Plymouth, arriving at Auckland in the afternoon of .Saturday, October 24. He remains at Auckland over the Sunday, leaving there on the Monday, and retracing his steps down the AVest Coast to Wellington, where he arrives late on Tuesday night. He will then embark for Christchurch, and arrive here early on the morning of Thursday, October 2!). He remains in Christchurch till the Monday following, when he leaves for Oaniaru, where lie holds a meeting that evening, leaving for Dunedin the following morning. Tuesday and Wednesday will be spent in Dunedin, and on Thursday, November sth, he goes to Jnvercargill, where he holds a meeting in the evening. He leaves for Hobart, via the Bluff, on Friday. The arrangements for his Christchurch meetings are as follow : Thursday afternoon, big reception march and open-air demonstration, when the General will speak; evening, public welcome meeting in the Tuam-street hall. Friday.— No public meetings, as the General will be occupied in Officers' Councils all day. On Saturday morning there will be a select invitation meeting, when the General will explain his social scheme. * In the afternoon a meeting for Salvation soldiers only will be held, and at night a "Darkest England" public meeting will be held in the Tuam-street Hall. All Day with God," is the title of the Sunday services in the Tuam-street Hall. Announcements respecting prices of admission, season tickets for the series of meetings, and full particulars will be made shortly.
