The Waiapur correspondent of tho Auckland News says that some years ago he fell on a wet step and broke, his loft leg. It was set, and when he was able to get about he found that the leg was an inch and a half shorter than the other. For a long time he got about in a limping fashion, when one day his horse fell with him and his right, leg was broken. On recovering from that accident he found that the other leg was shortened by an inch and a half, and he was an upright man onco more.
