A retorn of land selected during the quarter ending 30th Jane, 1890, shows that in the varions districts 136 selectors took np 35,478 a 2r 180 on cash system ; 72 selectors took up 9809 a Or 12p on the deferred-payment Bystem ; 204 selectors took up 75,238* 2r 6o on perpetual lease; 23 selectors took up 601 3r 33p for village settlement (cash); 13 selectors took up 60a 3r lp for village settlement (deferredpayment) ; three selectors took up 401 acres for homestead ; 44 selectors took up 355,918 acres for pastoral runs; seven selectors took up 8151 a 2r 32p for small grazing runs.
