The men therefore refused to work at all. In spite of the resolution at the mass meeting of wharf laborers t -night, their action wan disapproved by the rfficera of tbe Uulon. In consequence of this difficulty the steamship owners decline to discuss tbo new rules put forward by tbe federation of seamen at tbe conference which was arranged with that object to-day, until they were ioformed whether It was ioteoded to support tbo laborers, but saying at tho same time that they were unable to give nn undertaking not to sup-p->rt them. The confereuca thereupon adjourned until Monday. Tbe delegates frnm the Marino Officers Interviewed the owners to-day to ascertain their intentions.
