The outcome of the agitation of the Ministers' Association for the rights of cltiz'nsblp has been that a motion was carried in the House of Assembly allowministers of religion to hold eeatß on the Municipal Council. The proposal to allow women to become members of the same body -vaa rejected. Beisbane, July 18. The captain of the barque Zodiac, his wife and two daughter?, Mies Brown (a passenger) and six of the ill fated vessel's crew, have landed here from the rescning a'aimer. The captain reports the Zodiac to have had a terrible pasaage and states that there were nine feet of water in the hold when the vessel was abandoned, notwithstanding that the orew were pumping for twenty-four hours on the night before she commenced to settle down. She was running before a heavy gale, and Camden Haven hove in sight at daylight. cargo was jettisoned, and the deoks were swept of everything before the vessel was abandoned. la the House of Assembly a BUI introduced by a private member providing for triennial Parliaments has been read a second time.
