CONCERT AT WINDSOR.
The concert held at Windsor last night to celebrate the opening of the school there was tn unqualified success. Mr T. Dnnom occupied toe chair, and he congratulated the local School Committee on the success of ite efforts to establish a school in the diatrlot A capital programme was prepared for the evening's entertainment, In which the following ladies and gentlemen took part:—Mißsea J, Brownlee, L. Mainland, and Maogregor, Messrs N. Fleming, Gardiner, and Lawrenson, the last item being a vocal dnet by the Misses Mainland, Every item was moat vociferously enoored, and responded to. The songs were all ably accompanied by Miss Brownlee and Mr Lawrenson. At the close of the concert a few congratulatory remarks were addressed to the meeting by the Hev J. A. Will, and votes of thanks were most unanimously accorded to all who had assisted in any way. Abundance of refreshments were provided by the local friends, and presided over Mrs tee and Mrs Olds. We almost forgot to mention that very hearty cheers were given for Mies M'Gregor, who has arrived to open the echool, for Mr M'Kenzle, for his efforts to get a sohool for the district, and also for Mr N. Fleming, A euooesßfal danoe then took place.
