ARRIVAL OF THE TONGARIRO.
(BY TELEGRAPH.) Wellington, Deoember 2. The R.M.S. Tongariro arrived from London, via the Cape and Hobart, at 4 o'clock this afternoon. She left Plymouth on the 19th October, Santa Cruz on the 24th, Cape Town on the Bth November, and Hobart at 840 p.m. on the 27th. Until arriving at Hobart she enccuntorod variable winds, but after leaving that port sha experienced a north-east gale with hoavy confused sea and much rain. The following are the offioers: Commander, J. Bone ; chief offioor, Mr C. A. Milward, vice Mr Blovham; R. Denton, seoond officer; Dr A. H. Williams, surgeon.
