CHRISTCHUKCH CORN EXCHANGE. The following Is the report for the week ending Friday, November 29 : The weather hia been a sonrco of satisfaction to all interested in agricultural and pastoral pursuits daring the week. The lita rain will considerably increase the prospects of a bountiful harvest, and be of incalculable value to the root crops. Market prospects are at the moment moat Inspiriting. Sydney advices deter any immediate hapej of an outlet for onr produce, ths grain and bntter being excentionally dull. Wheat Freight ratter affect values as regards shipment*, the English mirket being oar only ontlet at the moment. Farmers who have held will regret that they did not sell at the commencement of the season, and those who held for " the rlsa" will regret that they did not alio? the speculator tD make the loss they must incur themselves. The only prospect of avoiding a heavy lots is to hold nntil low freights C3n bo obtained. fa's—There is no outside demand, local requirements are bat small at this time of the year, and large stocks will consequently ba carried forward. Barley— A slight Inquiry for milting may be noted. Potatoes—The Sydney inquiry having collapsed, the market there may be considered closed. The difficulty of obtaining freights Is a great drawback to producers who are dependent on the English market for an outlet f tiling a Sydney demand.
