Eigb^years sgo (writes the correspondent of an exchange) a young Dublin engineer,named Boyce,fell in love withand married the daughter of a rich provision dealer in that city. The lady's father objected to the match on the gronnd of the bridegroom's fmpeenniosity, bat at last matters were satisfactorily SBttled, and the wedding* dnly took place. After the marriage ceremony the whole party went to Glendalough for a picnic. Sad to say, a good deal of the "crstnr" was consumed, and the hridt'a father, waxing merry nnder Us icflaence, taunted his new son-in-law with the fine match he was making. The bride also joined in the joke, which, however, the bridegroom entirely failed to appreciate." Aogry words followed, and eventually yonog Boyce in a rage betook himself off. No one thought much of the matter, tho bride and her father expeeting to find the truant at home and penitent when they returned. He was not, however, there, and it presently transpired he had taken the evening steamer for Liverpool. Days, weeks, months, and at last years, passed, yet Mrs Boyce beard nothing of her erraDt spouse. Her father died, and she undertook the management of his business herself. Naturally she had many suitors, bat not feeling sure cf Boyce's death, she refused till this summer to listen to any of them. Then a persevering lover wsa accepted, and preparations made for another wedding. The happy day bad, however, barely been fixed before the long-mi'sing Bjyca put in an appearance in the city. He bad been living in New Zealand for all these ysara, and made money there. As he achieved a competence, and became " a good match " for the provision dealer's daughter. Boyco had resolved to be dead to his wife and the world. Once, However, that end was attained, and he returned to claim both. Qlrs Boyce, to quote a Dublin paper, was " struck all of a heap n by the unexpected resurrection. The fact, however, of her 'Jbuaband having made a fortune in New Zealand, and for her sake, much mitigated the shock, and in due coarse she felt "all her old love for him revive." The provision business is to be sold, and when that is done Mrs Boyce returns with her sponse to the country of bis adoption.
