AUSTRALIAN ELEVEN IN ENGLAND.

The fielding of the Australian team dnring the first innings of the English Eleven was very good, and Bonnor made two splendid catches. This morning the Australians, who on the previous day had lost M'Donnell and Bannerman for 32 rans, resumed their innings. The bowling and fielding of the Eogliahmen was simply superb, and the remainder of the Australians were dismissed when the total had reached 81. The visitors, beiog 91 behind the score of the Englishmen, had to follow on, but their stand iu the second innings was very poor, many of the best bats being dismissed with duck's eggs; and with 70 on the register the last wicket fell, leaving the Englishmen victorious in the third test match by one inniogs and 21 runs. In the first innings of the visitors Peel was well on the spot, j and bis record of seven wickets for 31 rnns is one of the best averages against the Australian Eleven. In the, second innings of the Australians six wickets fell for seven runs, but Turner and Lyons then got together, and by splendid cricket raised the score to 55, when a separation was effected. The other three wickets only added 15 to the total, and the innings closed for 70. Grace caught three of the Australians in their second j innings. The match was witnessed with great interest by a large number of spectators, and the winners received an ovation on returning to the pavilion. The following are the scores Australians—Firet Innings.
