Mr Miller, Rabbit Inspector, forwarded a report re the Otematata run, stating that poisoning had so far been successful on tho low lying portions of the run, but on tho higher lands the operations had been much retarded, and the operations to be successful ought to have been oommenced earlier. He recommended the introduction of the natural enemies of the peat to the run. Poisoning would be almost useless dnring the spring if there was an early growth of grass. The Solicitor wrote statlog that tho B >ard should require tho assignee la J. Accounts amounting to LII2G 2s 4d were passed for payment. The Secretary reported that recent heavy rains bad deluged both the upper and lower roads to the breakwater. That thn sleepers on the Normanby wharf had shown signs of decay and also that the railway line on the Harbor Block required attention. These matters wero referred to the Standing Committee to deal with. It was resolved to put up at auction the leases of the Board'a section adjoining the bridge, Thames-street, and also those of the property on the Cape. c Tho harbormaster wrote recommending the resumption of dredging operations and tho letter was referred to the Standing Cummlttee. Sir W. Isbestos, of Port Chalmers, wrote offering to dock tho Board's dredge for the purpose of effecting repairs, etc., for the Bum of L2O.
