RAM FAIR.
The ram fair held to-day was not as successful as those of former yearfl. There was a fair number of entries, and the quality of the rama -was good; but, although the attendance was aB large aa usual, there were no buyers present, A few flock rams were sold, bnt the stud rams would not sell. Messrs Fleming and Hedley sold, on account of the Hon. M. Holmes, flock Lincoln rams at from \\ to 1£ guineas. Meaßrs W. Christie and Co. sold, on account of Mr A. Murdoch, 2-tooth Border Leicesters up to 2f guineas. There was no competition for Shropshire and Southdowns. Seventeen 2-tooth Southdown ewes sold to Mr Thomson at lOj, and the rams went up to 21s.
