ENGLISH CRICKETERS IN AUSTRALIA.
(By Electric Telegraph—Oofybight. VERNON'S TEAM. (RBtrrKß's TKLEORAMS.) Received December 29, at 1.35 a.m. Adelaide, Deoember 28. The match, Vernon's team v. Eleven of Adelaide was resumed to-day. The home team bad lost eight wickets for 450 at the conclusion of the day's play. Godfrey put together 119 and Giffen 203 before they were disposed of. The Cricket Association insists upon the match being played out, notwithstanding that in so doing it will interfere with the international matoh, which should commenoa in Melbourne on Saturday.
