Tha Union Company's steamer Tekapo arrived here soon after 1 o'clock yesterday, with abort 140) ezoaraiomata from Donedm. Thia number would, no doubt, h»ve been lamer had tha weather la Dunerlin been fine. The vessel ateamed straight to the Sumpter wharf, and landed her -numerous lively freight. The Dnnedin Braaa Band accompanied the ateamer, and played a number of adMttona, much to the enjoyment of those •a board. Tha weather waa all that conld ha desired, the aaa being aa emooth as glass all tha way na the coast. Daring the afteraooa a number of excursionists visited tha Caledonian sports, whilst others contented themselves in parading the streets. After fonr pleasant hours had been spent in the White Stone City, the visitors boarded the ateamer, snd a start waa made for Dnnedin at about six o'clock. A w*« 11 pleasure yacht called the Anonyma anived la port at 10 o'clock yesterday morning fine left Dnnedin at three o'clock this morning in eommand of 8 youna men, and arrived here aa above after a very pleasant run. The young navigators, after spending a few boon in Oamaru, left on their return trip at six o'clock last evening.
