RESIDENT MAGISTRATE'S COURT.
I THIS DAY. (Before H. W. Eobinson, Esq., R.M.) DBUNKENNESS. Charles Olsin was fined 10s or 24 hoars imprisonment for being drunk on the gaol premises. James Hollow, for being drank, was fined 10s or 24 hours imprisonment. BREACH OF THE PEACE. Francis Flaherty and Harry Gregison, two seafaring men, were oharged with using threatening language whereby a breach of the peace was committed. Constable Lymn stated that he saw the two accused fighting opposite the Court* house yesterday afternoon. L. P. Christeson said he saw two men close to hia shop, who were engaged In a dispute. The shorter one went down the street, when the other man (Flaherty) followed and-struck him. Both accused were then arrested by Constable Lymn. His Worship said, considering that the accused had been looked up for the night, he would dismiss the charge, cautioning them to be careful for future, omii CASES. Judgment by default was given in the following cases ; William Smith v. D. Heffernan—claim, 6s Gd ; costs, Is. J. T. Herbert v. W. Hamilton—claim, L 22 23 ; costs, L2 14s. Same r. H. Simpson—claim, L2 17s 1 d ; oosts, 265.
