At a stock sale at Wairarapa, on Saturday last, 300 merino ewes were sold at 2s per head, and 400 merino wethers at 2s Gd per head. The Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association, with 324 members, had laat year an income of L 2737; which was nearly all expended. The New Zealand Drug Company have declared a dividend of 7 per cent., and carried forward L 8396 18a Bd. Mr Macandrew has a proposition to lay before the Council of the Otago University which will involve the expenditure of L 30,000 or L 40.000, but declines at present to explain its nature.
