"Let the cobbler stick to his last," and not meddle with levels, grades, and other things which belong only to those of experience in such affairs. The random shots made by such knowing ones would be highly amusing were it not that so many readers of public prints are led astray from the real facts by these mis-statements, accepting them as truths because they are in print—perhaps the labored effusion of some fire-brand or pothouse politician. Livingstonians, be not frightened. The rumored engineering mistakes are purely imaginary. Host assured the levels aro quite correct. This is not the lion to be afraid of.
