NORTH OTAGO AGRICULTURAL AND PASTORAL ASSOCIATION.

A meeting of the Committee was held yesterday afternoon at the Secretary's office. Present Mr. T. Henderson (Chairman) and a full quorum of members. The minutes of previous meeting were read and confirmed. The protest of James Stewart against the award to li. Wilkin and Co. for perennial grass seed, on the ground of their initials being un thuir bag of exhibits, was considered, and it was agreed, on the motion of Mr. Hedley, that tho protest could not be sustained, inasmuch as there was no existing regulation forbidding exhibitors of seeds to have their names or initials on their bags. Mr. Falconer moved, and Mr. Ronayne seconded, '' That a rule be framed for next year's show prohibiting all riding and jumping on the ground, except while horses are being exhibited in the ring set apart for exhibition purposes."—Carried. Mr. Ronayne moved, and Mr. Aikenhead seconded, "That a donation of L2O be made to the Treasurer of the subscription list for Mrs. M'Kenzie, the widow of the man who was killed on the Show ground, accompanied with an expression of the Committee's deep regret at the sad accident."—Carried. It was resolved to send an explanatory letter to Mr. P. H. Russell as to the causes which induced a change of judges in Lincoln class. The accounts rendered were passed for payment, subjeot to the approval of the Finance Committee. A vote of thanks to the chair closed the proceedings.
