Ci-recnfietd reports that he offered for sale by public auction at his mart, Tjnestreet, on .Saturday. 3 freehotd sections in town of Oumaru, but none of them reaching the vendors' reserve, wero passed hr- Mr. fU-eentteld will be happy to deal with any one for the sale of them. He also reports having held a sate of hoasehotd furniture at the liny View House, Wharf-street, on Saturday. The attendance was large, and the bidding spirited.

CUSTOMS RKVEN'UR. The total amount received at the Customs during the past month was U3!>3 !3a -td, as against Ll7 - _'3 ta td for the corresponding month of last year. The falling off has mainly taken place in tobacco, wine. tea. and sugar, the reduction of the doty on the two last named items having had some effect upon the revenue received.
