NO SO GOOD
Started Them In Indian File WITH Charles O'Connor not able to be present at Woodville, the starting job was entrusted to Harold Connop, who for years trained on the course and was a steward of the club. Connop evidently has a liking for walking-in starts, and he was doingall right till he struck a field of 18 4n the two-year-old race. It is more or dess hopeless trying walking-in tactics with babies. However Connop tried, and was sadly disillusioned. . They went away Indian file, and Brown's cows would have looked like a well-trained army. in comparison. Two-thirds of the field lost any show it had when the starter took the odds. There is only one way to start horsea fiat-footed. .. - .
