Seven years later that same young man figured m his first murder case — the Minnie Dean trial, one of the most famous cases m the. history of New Zealand crime.
Two score and ohe years of strenuous practice, ohe might imagine, would see the leaves of energy dropping away even from one such oak-hearted counsel as Hanlon, but he is still a giant m the arena.
From that day to this, the name of Alfred Charles Hanlon has emblazoned itself on the very pinnacle of the legal profession.
