Truth" had a good view of what happened, and holds the opinion that the sentence was not justified. , • Malmsey made a slight stumble and bumped Wayward, which handed it on to Ronaki, but both were beaten hoi-tees at the time and the slight interference did not prejudice their chances. The subsequent running of .this pair indicated that their chances on the first day were remote.
