of good fellows m Christchurch. Though a commercial traveller, Bill's hobby is not funny stories, but sport of all descriptions. In his palmy days Bill could run a bit himself, and he cherishes a memory of filling third berth m a mile to Burke and Alf. Shrubb when those two great runners we r e thrilling New Zealand eai century.
