DISGRACEFUL

Eulalie's Two Races This Week

Any horse hailing from the Mason stable is held m great respect by both bettors and layers of the odds. THUS it was found that Eulalie, was a favorite m ante-post betting prior to the Great Easter. Last week "N.Z. Truth" pointed out she was a false favorite — and so it proved. There was an idea about the three-year-old's running m the Challenge Stakes at Trentham that was not correct. It was held m some quarters that she was not ready for the race and that Easter Monday would see a different tale. However, Eulalie went the same as she did at Trentham. In the early stages she showed a lot of speed, but when the business end arrived she was m the ranks of the missing. The next day she stepped out m the Challenge and m this event she went even worse than the day before. Punters are now awake to the filly. "The Mason touch" appeals not a bit so far as Eulalie is concerned.
