Huxtable, Edwards, Te Ngaio and Conrad are yet m their infancy, so with a little more experience must go further. . . Barclay, undoubtedly the star back, has made a big difference to the Bay by his return. 1. ■
Naturally the Brownlie— Donald incident is tho chief topic and great rfegret is felt. Both on and off the field Maurice Brownlie has always been and always will be. a gentleman. It was unfortunate that he should be penalised. Sympathy, too, is 'due to the referee, for the game was extending m such a way that something concrete had to be done to prevent the "keenness" becoming too great. The general opinion here is that this game was the best that H.B. has participated m.
