WILLIAM ANDREW VEITCH, M.R
Railwayman To Liberal Leadership
BLUNT, straight-speaking and with a fixed tenacity of purpose, William Andrew Veitch always has a load of things political on his 'mind. Sincere and battling, but not brightly eloquent, W.A.V. has the stuff that counts most, heart and driving force. In this present "Parliament here assembled," Veitch comes out as the Leader of the Liberals (that "rose" which smelt almost as sweet even on the "National tree"). Life is thorny anyway. Hail the new Liberal chief, ex-railwayman of many years' standing, and« still on the right line.
