Otago's team for the New Zealand Swimming Championships at Auckland this month ranks as one of the strongest that has ever represented the province. fT includes one open'title-holder m Roy Calder, the present men's diving champion. He will meet with sterner opposition than usual, but is diving as well as ever this year, and good judges m the south confidently predict he will retain the championship. C. B. Lewjs will be Otago's sole . representative m the Men's National Championships, m which he will contest the 220 yards breaststroke championship. In Otago he is m a class by himself and won the provincial championship by about half the length of the baths m 3 minutes 25 seconds, which is New Zealand standard time.
