THE successful sale of water at. the ■ handsome price of 2/8 per gallon would certainly be regarded as a masterpiece of high finance, and the man who could carry on through a few seasons would end up with a very solid bank balance. ' ,' AT "the Gisborne Magistrate's Court last week Charles Cairis pleaded guilty to selling milk which .had been Adulterated with 11 per cent, of water, and S.M. Levvey, in fining him £6 and costs, mentioned that the next man who appeared on that charge' wpuld get a much warmer reception. In convicting Cains, - the magistrate said the Court had to protect the lives of children. A
