Zealand from England, the husband agreeing to come out later. Wife has received no word from him for the past 18 months. Has she grounds on which to obtain a divorce? — "Anxious Reader" (Wellington). A.: Not yet. Desertions must be for 3 years. You must first settle when it commenced. Furthermore your husband has never acquired a New Zealand domicile, and you cannot by residence m New Zealand acquire a New Zealand domicile, or change your husband's domicile. It follows therefore that if you desire a divorce you will have to petition m England, the New Zealand Courts having no jurisdiction.
