Missed the Funeral The Waikato horse Waikawa broke his back last week. On the very morning that Waikawa ended his career a jockey wired Phil Brady. ~ , He wanted the ride at Wellington. Instead of the affirmative answer he would otherwise have got ho was adVised: "Sorry; Waikawa broke his back} funeral to-day!"
