Says a Correspondent According to a correspondent, Eddie Parker is afraid to meet Em. Young. I Writes "A Good Old Sport. from Wanganui: "Some time ago I read m your paper that a fight had been arranged to come off/ m Hastings between E. Parker and E. Young last month. This fight never came off. Can you tell me why? " Rumor has it, and it seems pretty true, that Parker is afraid to meot Em. Young. If he is not, then let him prove it to the sporting public by getting these Hastings boxing men to put on this fight next month (September races). "Young I know is prepared to meet Eddie any time, so why not give a helping hand, 'Veritas'?" "Veritas" has no power; to act for Parker but I think he will pardon me for making this statement: i That Parker will fight Young at any time the pair are matched.
