MOTOR "CANOCYCLE."

The canoe type of sidecar has long been popular, but the practical combination of an actual Canadian 15ft. canoe with a motor-cycle,, is something of a novelty, and offers possibilities for those who are equally interested m sculling or paddling and motor-cycling. The combination is a Rudge four-valve four-speed combination chassis, and the canoe, as stated, a Canadian craft. It will be noted that the little vessel is secured on the chassis by webbing bands which are readily attached or detached, while the cradle m which the canoe rests when m position on its transporting vehicle is so shaped that there is no possibility of movement provided that the bands are reasonably tightly fastened. Although the canoe detach ed from the machine does not suggest a superabundance Of comfort when regarded simply as sidecar coachwork. a scientific arrangement of back-rest and cushions overcomes this apparent disadvantage. .
