STRAND THEATRE.
One of the most unique features of the season is "Shattered Idols," a Master Picture, showing at the Strand Theatre this week. Immense m its scenic effects, spectacular m its big moments and teeming with Heart interest, this adaptation from I.A.R. Wylie's novel, "A Daughter of Brahma," is m jnany ways unique. The story is laid m India, involving the suppression of a native insurrection ahd the rescue of a comely maiden who has been selected as the bride of the unknown deity the cult worships. Also screening is "Hurrican's Gal," a stirring drama of the sea, featuring Dorothy Phillips, a mischievous monkey comedy, the latest Pathe Gazette of topical hews, and the next thrilling episode of "The Purple Riders."
