A MIXED BILL.
Smith Socks Elmour.
A mixed bill was staged at the Sydney Stadium last Saturday night, the main event being a fifteen rounder between Billy Smith (10.7%) and Dick JElmour (10.8%). In the first round Smith was cautioned for one of Dick's breaches and when the latter appealed for a foul he by no means made himself popular -with the crowd. Smith was cautioned about six times m the first eight rounds, but this only 'made him fight more, he specialising on Elmour's body. In the ninth, Elmour came up with his face m a nice mess and went down and took the count from a light right to the chin. — Special Cable.
