Three Different Balls

WELSH SKIPPER IS PARTICULAR

(By E. E. Booth— Special "N.Z.T.") SWANSEA, November 29.

A singlar and very unnecessary happening resulted with Wetter, the captain, refusing before the match to use three different balls. His reason was not entirely obvious. Only one, ball was used m the game. Any attempts at speeding up are checked; even hastily effected throw-ins are questioned.

Several French visitors from Paris were present, their quick fluent Parisian accent and their manipulations of English sporting phrases being decidedly interesting. •

After the match the rain teemed down m torrents, which seemed to further dull the apathetic state of mind of the huge crowd which began to leave the ground before the end of the game. It was a bad day for Wales.
