If "Tackier" wore asked to name what kas been the most pleasing feature of the trials played these last few weeks he would instantly reply: "The good spirit m which all the games have been played." The conduct of tho men on the field has been nothing short of magnificent. With such high honors at stake one expects to sco a little feeling displayed, but m all the games only one Incident came under the writer's eye. That was In the Norths-South game at Wellington last Saturday, when a North Island forward made a smack at a South Island man.
