It seems that m 1922, out of 174 illllon posted packets. Investigation i*ns made into 5799 cases m which bmplainants alleged that packets •osted had not been delivered. Of hese, the Post Office traced or acounted for 3098. * The unaccounted or packets (the loss of which might >r might not have 'been the Departnenfs fault) were thus only about me m 04,000.
